SELECTA Bioenergie GmbH has been an internationally active company based in West Thuringia since 1992. Since March 2005, we have offered, in collaboration with our partner GUT mbH, activated coal filtering systems to remove H2S from biogas, and other areas of application. Based from the region of Thuringia, we have been able to help numerous biogas plant operators to achieve a longer service life for their motors without H2S in the biogas, and to eliminate short oil change intervals. Through collaboration with the company H.G.S. GmbH & Co. KG, we have been able to pool and effectively make use of years of experience in the motor engineering, biogas purification and exhaust gas cleaning sectors, regardless of motor type and manufacturer. Since November 2008, the combination of biogas desulphurisation with active coal and the use of an oxidation catalyst in the exhaust gas system has resulted in more than 120 biogas plants receiving a formaldehyde bonus.
